Zagersdorf
Zagersdorf is in the north of Burgenland, next to the Hungarian border, 50 km away from Vienna.
Our village is first-mentioned in 1461 as “Czogasdorff” – that time it was a german-speaking village.

In 1532 Turkish warriors striked Austria and destroyed many villages.
Therefore Croatian people were settled down in our Area.

Zagersdorf
Today – about 500 years later – our village Zagersdorf is still Croatian and has about 1000 inhabitants.
